I signed up for welo internet planning to use my own modem, but I changed my mind. Can I still switch to using welo equipment?

You sure can. Whether you signed up 20 minutes ago or you’ve been with us for a while, switching from your own modem to welo equipment (or the other way around) is no big drama. Either way, it all starts with a quick chat with welo support.

Going from your own modem to welo equipment

• To kick things off, hop on chat and tell us you want to use our equipment, we’ll set you up with a welo WiFi Gateway.
• The rest of the setup steps will land in your email. Easy.

Going from welo equipment to your own modem

• If you originally ordered welo equipment, you need to wait for it to arrive and get it going before switching to your own modem. We just want to make sure your service is fully up and running before the swap happens.
• Once everything’s working, hop on chat to start the modem swap.
• You’ll need to share with us your modem’s MAC address and send the  welo equipment back to us (we’ll tell you how over email).
• Swapping to your own modem means you’ll need to send back your welo equipment within 30 days of connecting your own modem to avoid equipment charges. We’ll email you with all the return instructions, including the deadline.
