How to Change Your WiFi Name and Password: Quick and Easy Steps to Personalize Your Network 🚀

Ready to give your WiFi network name (SSID) a refresh? Or looking to update your network password to ward off WiFi leeches? With just a few quick taps on your smartphone, you’ll have those updated in no time.


⚠️ Changing your WiFi name and password means devices that are currently connected to your network may disconnect after changing and will need to be reconnected using the new credentials.


Change your network name


  1. Open the Plume Home app.
  2. Tap the Edit button in the purple section.
  3. Tap the pencil icon next to the current network name.
  4. Type in a new network name.
  5. Tap Save.


Change your WiFi password


  1. Open the Plume Home app.
  2. Tap the Edit button in the purple section.
  3. Tap the “...” next to the current hidden password and click Edit in the pop-up menu.
  4. Type in a new password.
  5. Tap Save.
