Does welo internet use fiber?

Yes, and no.

The welo network is composed of both coaxial cable and optical fiber.

This means our internet is fiber-powered, not “pure fiber”.

Let’s unpack this.

welo uses FTTN infrastructure

FTTN (fiber to the Node) is a hybrid network where fiber optic cables run from a centralized location to neighborhood nodes. From these nodes, existing copper wiring (such as coaxial cable) completes the "last mile" of the connection to individual homes.

We’re part of a fiber-powered network

We use a 100% fiber-optic backbone network—that’s the infrastructure in place that connects neighborhoods and streets to the internet. That means data is arriving to you at fiber speeds until the very final connection through coaxial cable into your home.
