Can I pay my welo bill with cryptocurrency?

At this time, welo does not accept cryptocurrency for payment.

We’re always keeping an eye out for new tech and payment methods to provide the best and most secure experience for our customers.

While cryptocurrency has gained significant attention over the past years, we feel it’s not suitable right now as a payment option for several different reasons.

Why does welo not accept cryptocurrency?

  1. The value of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin can fluctuate dramatically in a short period. This poses a significant challenge for bill payments and presents a potential financial risk to customers.

  1. Regulatory uncertainty

The lack of consistent regulation surrounding cryptocurrency is still changing and can vary widely across different jurisdictions. This creates uncertainty surrounding tax implications, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.

  1. Commitment to secure and convenient payments

Our priority to customers is to offer payment options that are secure, convenient, and reliable. At this time, cryptocurrency as a payment option does not meet these three standards in our current landscape.

We regularly review our payment methods and may consider accepting cryptocurrency down the line once regulatory clarity improves and it becomes a more stable and widely adopted payment method. For now, it’s simply not the best fit for us and our customers.
