# How welo uses multi-factor authentication (MFA) to secure your account

We use **Multi-Factor Authentication** (MFA) to protect your account and verify your identity.

### **What’s Multi-Factor Authentication?**
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a multi-step login process that prompts users to enter more information than just a password to confirm their identity. For example, along with the password, users might enter a code sent to their email, answer a secret question, or scan a fingerprint.
