# How to change your WiFi name and password in the Plume Home app

Ready to give your WiFi network name (SSID) a refresh? Or looking to update your network password to ward off WiFi leeches? With just a few quick taps on your smartphone, you’ll have those updated in no time.

| ⚠️ Changing your WiFi name and password means devices that are currently connected to your network may disconnect after changing and will need to be reconnected using the new credentials. |
## Change your network name
1. Open the **Plume Home** app.
2. Tap the “Network” button at the bottom menu.
3. Click anywhere in the purple section.
4. Tap the pencil icon next to the current network name.
5. Type in a new network name.
6. Tap **Save**.

## Change your WiFi password
1. Open the **Plume Home** app.
2. Tap the “Network” button at the bottom menu.
3. Click anywhere in the purple section.
4. Tap the “• • •” next to the current hidden password and click Edit in the pop-up menu.
5. Type in a new password.
6. Tap **Save**.
